We are seeking a Merchandising Manager on a contract basis to help support our Customer's business needs. As a Merchandising Manager for this new and evolving space of the business, you have the opportunity to inspire the discovery of curated items across the platform and play a critical role in shaping the future of the merchandising function. This role is 100% remote in Chicago, IL. What You’ll Do • Drive the in-app merchandising and content strategy for the company's platform, including creation, QA, testing, and optimization of curated collections for evergreen use cases and seasonal moments • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to support the execution of bespoke campaigns driving to curated merchandising landing pages, in addition to spearheading new activation opportunities • Establish best practices for content optimization considering channel, audience, timing, in-app placement, and other variables • Monitor merchandising analytics, run competitive audits, and maintain a pulse on food and retail trends to inform a dynamic content strategy • Build, develop, and scale comprehensive merchandising strategies that will shape the vision and future of a dedicated Merchandising function Must Haves • 3+ years of experience in Marketing, Merchandising, Operations, and/or Strategy roles with a desire to expand skill set • Experience in eCommerce, grocery, or CPG merchandising is preferred • Passionate about working at the intersection of merchandising and operations in the on-demand delivery space • Track record of owning and executing cross-functional initiatives, with strong organization, problem-solving, and time management skills • Adaptable to quick changes within both the company and industry and strong level of comfort navigating ambiguity • The ability to effectively blend creativity and analytics - you have an intuition for design, copywriting, and creative direction, and are equally excited at the prospect of leveraging data - market research, consumer insights, and internal reporting - to inform strategic decisions • Excellent project management skills with a keen attention to detail • A go-getter attitude - willingness to take a hands-on approach to get the job done and have a bias toward action • Highly collaborative - know how to engage and mobilize multiple teams to drive execution toward shared goals • Working experience with Google Suite; SQL is a plus Education • Bachelor’s Degree Hours & Location: • M-F, 40 hours/week. This role is 100% remote in Chicago, IL.
