About Happier Living Happier Living is a national telehealth practice providing outpatient behavioral healthcare to individuals, couples, and families across the nation. Established in 2011 by a dedicated psychiatrist and led by a team of experienced clinicians, our primary mission is to expand access to the highest quality care. At the core of Happier Living lies a strong foundation of psychotherapy. Our team, consisting of Psychiatrists, PMHNPs, Clinical Psychologists, and Licensed Therapists, conduct 40-minute weekly recurring sessions, affording them ample time and space to cultivate profound therapeutic alliances with each and every client. Supported by a robust administrative team and seasoned clinical leadership, our clinicians benefit from the support of a national practice group while serving a small roster of self-motivated, low acuity clients. For more about us: Geriatric Psychiatry — Flexible Telehealth & In-Person Care Happier Living is expanding its geriatric psychiatry services to meet the growing mental health needs of older adults. We are seeking a compassionate, relationship-oriented Psychiatrist with expertise or strong interest in geriatric psychiatry to provide high-quality care to adults typically age 65 and older. This position offers flexible care delivery — via telehealth, in person, or a hybrid of both. Candidates are encouraged to indicate their preferred modality when applying. Our geriatric clients commonly present with mood and anxiety disorders, adjustment issues related to aging, grief and loss, caregiver stress, cognitive concerns, and medical comorbidities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, evidence-based psychiatric care to older adults via telehealth
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations
• Prescribe and manage medications thoughtfully, with attention to polypharmacy and age-related considerations
• Use geriatric-specific assessment tools to inform treatment planning
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans over time
• Collaborate with other members of the care team when appropriate
• Support patients through major life transitions such as bereavement, retirement, functional decline, or emerging cognitive impairment
• Contribute to Behavioral Health Integration (BHI) efforts by participating in team-based care when appropriate
• Complete documentation in a timely manner

As a Geriatric Psychiatrist at Happier Living, you will cultivate long-term therapeutic relationships with older adult clients while integrating psychotherapy, medication management, and collaborative care planning based on each individual's needs. You may collaborate virtually with primary care providers and other clinicians to support whole-person care while preserving independence, dignity, and quality of life. What Makes This Role Unique

Requirements

• MD or DO
• Board Certification in Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN), or within 3 years of residency completion
• Fellowship training in Geriatric Psychiatry preferred but not required
• Unrestricted DEA registration
• Experience working with older adults, including cognitive disorders and complex medical comorbidity
• Participation in Case Conferences
• Proficiency with telehealth platforms, EMR systems, and ePrescribing
• Part Time / Full Time: 8 - 40 hours per week
