Direct Sales Agent Specialist (1611) - Direct Auto

Direct Auto Insurance, part of The Allstate Corporation, is seeking a Direct Sales Agent Specialist to drive new business sales and build relationships with customers. The role involves attracting new customers, cross-selling existing products, and managing a book of business in a retail location.

Responsibilities

  • Driving new business sales
  • Understanding customers’ needs to build rapport and trust
  • Attracting and generating new customers
  • Cross-selling existing customers
  • Selling to walk-in customers
  • Marketing products outside of the office via marketing calls and in-person visits
  • Creating community relationships to promote continued growth
  • Assisting customers in the office
  • Successfully closing sales of insurance and ancillary products
  • Meeting and exceeding sales goals through new product sales, cross sell / retention of customers
  • Leveraging community contacts to continually build a sales pipeline
  • Initiating outbound calling to established target customer base for product offerings
  • Monitoring key competitors in the local market area
  • Working with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes
  • Delivering optimal results within appropriate metrics
  • Understanding, promoting, and remaining current on company underwriting guidelines
  • Receiving customer payments, issuing receipt and verifying reports of receipts for cash drawers

Skills

  • 0 – 2 years of experience
  • P&C licensing (Preferred) or must attain required licensure within 90 days of joining the company
  • Successfully closes sales of insurance and ancillary products
  • Meets and exceeds sales goals through new product sales, cross sell / retention of customers
  • Leverages community contacts (natural market) to continually build a sales pipeline, as well as an active physical presence in your own community to build multiple centers of influence/referral sources (car dealerships, local events, community organizations, etc.)
  • Initiate outbound calling to established target customer base for Product offerings
  • Monitors key competitors in the local market area and makes suggestions on initiatives that could improve the company's position in the marketplace
  • Works with Direct Sales Leadership to plan, implement, and manage marketing and sales processes to achieve production and growth goals
  • Delivers optimal results within appropriate metrics, including quality, quantity, timeliness, productivity, customer satisfaction and financial performance, including compliance with all rules, procedures, and standards consistent with the manager's supervision
  • Understands, promotes, and remains current on company underwriting guidelines, announcements, and memos related to changes in company policies and procedures
  • Receives customer payments, issues receipt and verifies reports of receipts for cash drawers
