C++ Software Engineer - Trading Systems
We are seeking a highly motivated Software Engineer (C++) to work on all aspects of our distributed financial trading systems. This role requires strong C++ development and debugging skills, the ability to understand intricate architectures, and breaking down issues in real-time, distributed financial trading environments. Tradeweb Technology jobs are fully remote. The Tradeweb Technology hub is located in our Jersey City office which can be used for team meetings and collaboration efforts. There may be days where travel to the Jersey City office is recommended for organizational off-sites. Job Responsibilities Develop and enhance core trading systems for Fixed Income and Derivative Securities Work effectively in a small, high-performing software development team Collaborate with both technical team members and non-technical business stakeholders Contribute to the continuous improvement of the trading technology stack
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field 5+ years of professional C++ development experience (C++14/20) in Windows/Linux environments Strong proficiency in object-oriented design, STL, multithreading, and concurrency (synchronization, parallelism) Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, latency, throughput) and network programming Proven experience building complex, distributed, high-throughput, low-latency, and resilient systems Strong debugging skills and ability to quickly understand and work within large, complex codebases Demonstrated ability to leverage AI tools to accelerate ramp-up on large codebases, improve system understanding, and enhance debugging and development productivity Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams Self-driven, proactive, and capable of independently ramping up in complex environments
Preferred Qualifications

The current pay range for this role is currently $150,000 to $250,000 per year, based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of pay offered will be determined by a number of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, market data, and internal guidelines. This role will also be eligible to participate in Tradeweb’s discretionary bonus program. This role is expected to remain open until 7/10/2026.
