Clinical Development Specialist, Credentialled Vet Tech - Northeast

This team member must be located in the Northeast US and able to travel an average of 75% via car/plane. Credentialled Veterinary Technician Required. The Clinical Development Specialist provides implementation of support team training programs at Blue River practices. The Clinical Development Specialist works to evaluate team members, support workflow and clinic efficiency, provide specific skills-based training, and transition training programs for administration by practice leaders.

Requirements

  • Administer training programs for support teams (Veterinary Technicians, veterinary assistants, customer service representatives, and other non-veterinarian team members), helping practices establish expectations and progress goals, train specific technical skills, improve practice workflow and efficiency, and demonstrate measurable improvements.
  • Introduce of training programs, support practices virtually and in-person, provide participant accountability, transition role to practice level once program is well-established Virtual and In-person support at the practice
  • Work with Practice Managers, Medical Directors, and Field Operations teams to identify skill and operational areas of need within BRP practices
  • Support VTSP (Veterinary Technician Scholarship Program) scholarship winners in progress through the Veterinary Technician Degree Program at Penn Foster College
  • Help practices build and maintain a healthy workplace culture.

Basic Skills And Qualifications

  • Passion for teaching and developing skills and professional growth for individual support team members and BRP practices
  • Active Veterinary Technician credential in good standing (duration 2+ years) in at least one state.
  • Clinical Practice experience 5+ years, leadership role strongly preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications, positivity, helpfulness, and professionalism
  • Strong technical knowledge of veterinary medicine from a support team perspective
  • Proficiency in change implementation and conflict management
  • General understanding of financial metrics, efficiency, and decision-making within veterinary practices preferred
  • Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a timely manner is essential

Technical Skills

  • Intermediate proficiency in the Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of veterinary equipment usage and maintenance
  • PIMS Software experience a plus

Education Requirements

  • Graduation from an AVMA-Accredited Veterinary Technician program preferred
  • Maintain high level of clinical knowledge through regular continuing education

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to travel to clinics as needed, up to 75%
  • Must be licensed and able to operate motor vehicle and travel via automobile or air
  • Position requires both stationary sitting and to be on feet for substantial periods of time
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clinic management teams, practice team members, and co-workers at the Corporate office using email and phone; must be able to exchange clear, accurate information in these situations
  • Occasionally moves equipment and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent keyboarding/use of computer

Compensation
