Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager (Remote)
Our client, a dynamic and growing player in the logistics sector, is searching for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Supply Chain & Logistics Manager to join their fully remote operations team. This pivotal role is responsible for optimizing the entire supply chain, from procurement and inventory management to transportation and delivery, ensuring maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of global logistics networks, advanced supply chain planning methodologies, and a proven ability to manage complex operations virtually. You will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies to enhance our client's supply chain performance, reduce lead times, and improve customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies to support business objectives, focusing on efficiency, cost reduction, and service improvement. Oversee all aspects of logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, freight management, and inventory control. Analyze supply chain data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization. Implement and manage inventory management systems to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize carrying costs. Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), carriers, and suppliers. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key supply chain partners and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with all relevant domestic and international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance requirements. Implement and leverage advanced supply chain technologies and software (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems) to enhance visibility and control. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain resilience and continuity. Lead and mentor a team of logistics and supply chain professionals in a remote work environment. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports on supply chain performance for senior management. Drive continuous improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain. Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to forecast demand and align supply chain activities accordingly. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus. 7+ years of progressive experience in supply chain management and logistics, with a significant portion in a senior leadership capacity. Proven expertise in global logistics, international trade, and transportation management. Strong understanding of inventory management principles and best practices. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Excellent negotiation and contract management skills. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful supply chain strategies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, capable of managing remote teams effectively. Proficiency in supply chain planning and optimization software. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fully remote setting. APICS or CSCMP certification is desirable. Apply To This Job
