Sales Director – Southeast Region

Location: Southeast USA (Remote - Preferred Hubs: Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh-Durham, or Nashville) Role Type: Senior Individual Contributor / Player-Coach Focus: New Logo Acquisition: Mid-Market: $200M – $2B Revenue; Enterprise: $5B-$20B Revenue Position Overview FPT is looking for a Strategic Sales Director to act as a primary growth engine for our Southeast USA business portfolio. This is not a "wait for leads" role; we are looking for a veteran hunter who brings a portable network of C-suite and VP-level relationships within the Fintech, Banking, and Healthcare/Life Sciences sectors. You will be responsible for displacing large legacy system integrators (SIs) by positioning FPT’s agility, deep vertical expertise, and cost-effective digital transformation services. You will focus on the mid-market, enterprise level organizations that require high-touch partnership and specialized technical execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship-Driven Hunting: Leverage your existing network of regional CTOs, COOs, and VPs of Engineering to bypass cold-entry barriers and secure discovery meetings within the first 45 days.
  • Vertical Strategy: Execute a surgical go-to-market plan focusing on Manufacturing, Fintech hub in Atlanta/Charlotte and the Life Sciences/Healthcare clusters in NC and Tennessee.
  • Competitive Displacement: Identify "pain points" where mid-market and enterprise companies are underserved by global SIs (e.g., lack of attention, rigid contracts, or junior staffing) and position FPT as the high-seniority, agile alternative.
  • Full Sales Lifecycle: Own the process from initial executive outreach and qualifying needs to leading the proposal (RFP) process and closing contracts.
  • Strategic Account Mapping: Build and maintain a "Golden List" of 30–40 high-value target accounts in the region with an annual IT spend profile exceeding 3–5% of revenue.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 10+ years of proven success selling IT Professional Services, Managed Services, or Digital Transformation solutions.
  • The "Portable Network": Must demonstrate a current, active network of decision-makers in the Southeast US. We are looking for someone whose reputation allows them to "open doors with a phone call."
  • Domain Expertise: Prior experience selling into Manufacturing, Fintech/Financial Services (Payments, Core Banking modernization) or Healthcare/Life Sciences (Interoperability, EHR integration, HIPAA-compliant cloud).
  • Mid-Market Specialist: Proven track record of closing deals in the $200k – $5M+ range.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regionally (approx. 25–30%) to build face-to-face rapport with key stakeholders.

Success Metrics (First 6 Months)

  • 30 Days: Complete FPT service- offering immersion and finalize a "Top 40" regional target list.
  • 60 Days: Secure 10+ discovery meetings with qualified "New Logo" prospects using existing relationships.
  • 90 Days: Build a $1.5M+ qualified pipeline of active opportunities.
  • 180 Days: Close first "Beachhead" project and demonstrate a path to $3M+ in annual contract value (ACV).
