Investment Banking Associate – Energy & Power

We are currently looking for an Investment Banking Associate to join our Energy & Power team in the Houston, TX office. Our associate position offers a unique opportunity for ambitious professionals seeking to play a meaningful role in our continued growth while gaining significant experience in M&A, debt, equity and equity-linked transactions. The associate will prepare valuations, write memorandums for company sale assignments and private placements, prepare M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings. The associate is responsible for structuring and executing transactions, and typically functions as a backup for relationships with important clients, is generally the key contact for some clients, and begins to assume some important new business responsibilities. A successful candidate will possess the following characteristics: 3 years of experience involving financial analysis, transaction execution or related Experience in investment banking, private equity, or oil and gas is beneficial Exceptional work ethic and a high level of enthusiasm, initiative and leadership potential Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop rapport with existing and potential clients Strong knowledge of accounting and financial modeling Highly motivated, team player with an ability to learn in a fast-paced, challenging environment Degree in finance, business, management, engineering, science, or other related degrees; an MBA would be an asset U.S. work eligibility is required. The anticipated starting salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $135,000 - $225,000 per year. Placement within this range is dependent upon level of experience, location and other factors. This position is eligible for annual incentive compensation which will be a part of the total compensation. Total compensation for this position will be competitive with the market.
