Job Overview

As a Bilingual Customer Service Representative, you'll play a critical role in receiving and responding to calls and correspondence from child support clients in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures and contractual obligations. You'll be responsible for providing accurate account information, educating callers on policies and procedures, and effectively redirecting callers to the appropriate area/agency when necessary. You'll also be responsible for maintaining knowledge of procedures and systems, communicating client concerns and feedback to management, and researching and processing all correspondence received by email, fax, and mail.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming calls in a timely manner

  • Provide callers with accurate account information and educate them on appropriate policies and procedures
  • Effectively redirect callers to the appropriate area/agency when necessary
  • Maintain knowledge of procedures and systems
  • Communicate client concerns and feedback to management
  • Research and process all correspondence received by email, fax, and mail

Abilities and Requirements

* Excellent customer service skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy
  • Ability to diffuse upset customers
  • Ability to deliver bad news effectively
  • Capable of handling high call volumes
  • Proven oral and written communications skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and effectively multi-task between calls and correspondence
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year prior experience in an area of service delivery, customer service, call center technology, or related field
  • Proficient in data entry skills, including keyboard, mouse, and 10-keypad
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office
