API Automation Tester
You will own the quality assurance lifecycle for our APIs.
Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive test cases covering positive, negative, boundary, and stress API scenarios.
- Write automated test scripts using API testing tools and programming languages to interact with APIs.
- Execute automated API tests across development, staging, and production environments, monitoring results.
- Identify, document, and report defects with detailed reproduction steps to development teams.
- Conduct performance and security assessments on APIs to check response times and vulnerabilities.
- Integrate automated API tests into the CI/CD pipeline and analyze test reports for quality insights.
Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional experience in API testing automation.
- Expertise in scripting using Python and JavaScript.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful Web Services, HTTP, and JSON protocols.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit and TestNG.
- Proficiency with API testing tools like Postman.
- Familiarity with Java programming language.
- Understanding of database concepts for data validation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
