Our 24/7 webcam allows supporters to watch and fall in love with kittens from the first day they arrive, often when they are 1-2 weeks old, until they are ready for adoption at 8-12 weeks old. arenaflex is more than just a rescue; it's a worldwide community that shares a common goal: to save orphan, neonatal kittens and find them forever homes.
Job Summary
As a Volunteer Chat Moderator, you'll be the frontline face of arenaflex, interacting with our viewers and ensuring a positive experience for everyone involved. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming and orienting newcomers to our community
- Answering questions about our adoptable kittens and the arenaflex nonprofit organization
- Keeping our viewers informed with updates and news
- Ensuring that chat comments are respectful and follow our chat rules
- Collaborating with other volunteers to maintain a positive and engaging community
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service and support to our viewers and fellow volunteers
- Maintain a positive and respectful online presence, adhering to our chat rules and guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with information about our adoptable kittens, including their backgrounds, personalities, and adoption status
- Collaborate with other volunteers to ensure a smooth and engaging experience for our viewers
- Participate in training and onboarding processes to ensure a thorough understanding of our community and policies
- Use administrative privileges to manage our YouTube Channel and other software tools
Essential Qualifications
* Reliable and on-time, with a commitment to covering shifts as scheduled
- Friendly and personable online, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Customer service experience, preferably in a volunteer or non-profit setting
- A genuine love for rescue cats and kittens, with a commitment to our mission and values
- Ability to learn new software and tools, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in cat rescue, either through adoption, fostering, or volunteering
- Familiarity with YouTube Live and other streaming platforms
- Experience with online community management and moderation
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with a diverse audience
