Our Operations and Customer Center (OCC) is the heartbeat of our organization, responsible for making strategic and vital decisions to ensure seamless operations. As a Customer Care Representative, you'll be an integral part of our OCC team, working closely with experts to tackle business challenges and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Care Representative, you'll be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Working collaboratively with OCC teams to resolve operational issues and improve business processes
  • Utilizing data and analytics to inform decision-making and drive business outcomes
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve customer service

Key Responsibilities and Liabilities

Our OCC teams are divided into several groups, each with a unique focus:

  • Load Control Center: This team is responsible for ensuring airplane weight and balance, fuel delivery, and compliance with manufacturer and company regulations. As a Customer Care Representative, you'll work closely with the Load Control Center team to develop applications and efficiencies to reduce responsibility for the modern fleet.
  • Fuel Methodology: This team is responsible for creating systems, tools, and sustainability strategies for $14 billion in annual stream fuel consumed by the airline. As a Customer Care Representative, you'll research and develop techniques to determine safe and cost-effective fuel loads, improve airplane routing, and enhance payload gauging.

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A strong passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

If you have:

  • Experience with SQL, SAS, Python, R, or other programming languages
  • Familiarity with carrier operations, booking, and scheduling
  • History of leadership roles, including student and community associations
  • Passion for a future career in the aviation industry and serving Delta's customers
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
