Senior Remote Logistics and Dispatch Coordinator

WhatJobs Direct is looking for an experienced Senior Remote Logistics and Dispatch Coordinator to join our growing Driving & Transport division. This role is fully remote, offering flexibility and the opportunity to manage critical transportation operations from anywhere. You will be responsible for the efficient planning, coordination, and execution of all transportation and delivery activities, ensuring timely and cost-effective movement of goods. This includes managing driver schedules, optimizing routes, monitoring vehicle performance, and maintaining clear communication channels with drivers, clients, and internal stakeholders. Your duties will encompass dispatching drivers to appropriate locations, tracking shipments in real-time, and addressing any logistical challenges or delays proactively. You will also be involved in maintaining comprehensive records of all dispatched loads, driver logs, and delivery confirmations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills to identify trends, improve efficiency, and reduce operational costs. You will collaborate closely with the sales and customer service teams to ensure client satisfaction by meeting delivery expectations. Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and GPS tracking software is essential. Qualifications: A High School Diploma or equivalent is required; an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus. Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics coordination, dispatch, or transportation management, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity. Proven ability to manage a fleet of vehicles and drivers remotely. Excellent understanding of transportation regulations and best practices. Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make quick, effective decisions under pressure. Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with drivers and clients. Proficient in using dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and standard office software. Experience with route optimization software is highly desirable. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote setting. Must have a reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace. This position requires adaptability to changing schedules and operational demands. You will be the lynchpin of our remote logistics operations, ensuring seamless delivery services.
