WIC Registered Dietitian - Maryvale Clinic -REMOTE

Mountain Park Health Center is looking for Registered Dietitians (RD) to join our well established and accredited team of providers. As a large Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Arizona, we are dedicated, to sustain and improve health by providing excellent, patient-centered primary care. The Registered Dietitian (RD) performs medium and high-risk nutrition counseling services for participants on the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) at Mountain Park Health Center; this includes but is not limited to formula authorization, and as necessary, Certification of clients. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs WIC services and procedures such as categorical and income screening and health and nutrition assessments in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations and procedures. Plans, creates, and provides individual and group nutrition and breastfeeding education to medium and high-risk participants, providers, and professional staff utilizing interactive teaching methods and diverse multi-media materials and aids. Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding clinical nutrition issues or concerns, including customizing individual meal plans for program participants with medical needs. Assigns and tailors an appropriate food package for eligible participants based on age, category, health risks, and family needs and issues WIC food benefits. Reviews and authorizes special formulas and documents approved in HANDS. Develops and revises nutrition education materials as assigned. Assists with the self-assessment efforts by conducting assigned observations and chart reviews. Serves as preceptor to incoming dietetic interns and provides mentoring. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Performs other duties as required. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

Registered Dietitian (RD) certification issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
