Job Summary
As an Experienced Full Stack Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support in our pharmacies. You'll work closely with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the best possible care. Your duties will include:
- Assisting pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications
- Providing patient education and counseling on medication use and health-related topics
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Processing prescriptions and handling customer transactions
- Participating in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in pharmacy practice
Responsibilities
* Assist pharmacists with the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and pouring pharmaceutical tablets
- Provide patient education and counseling on medication use and health-related topics
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication lists and allergy information
- Process prescriptions and handle customer transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in pharmacy practice
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to arenaflex's high standards for patient care and safety
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Current certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT) or registered pharmacy technician (RPhT) required
- 2+ years of experience as a pharmacy technician, with a strong background in patient care and medication management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility
Preferred Qualifications
* 6+ months of experience in a retail or healthcare setting
- Previous experience with arenaflex or a similar pharmacy and retail company
- Strong math skills, with the ability to accurately count, measure, and weigh medications
- Proficiency in computer software and systems, including pharmacy management systems and electronic health records
- Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
