Job Summary and Qualifications Ambulatory Solutions - The HOC (Hospital Operated Clinics) Clinical Informatics team collaborates with external and internal departments to strategize on, develop, vet, launch, and monitor products & solutions that are focused upon the betterment of practice, provider, and patient life. This includes all phases of the product development lifecycle including but not limited to idea origination, determining the strategic target market, ability to outline and communicate (both verbally and written) a concise process to complete the effort, develop and or vet vendor products & services, determine the education and marketing approach, implement the solution, and continually monitor, support and improve upon the solution as a whole. Job Description: The Consulting Clinical Informaticist is the lead product owner on the HOC Clinical Informatics Team who helps the Clinical Informatics Manager build and execute on the HOC Clinical Informatics roadmap, with specificity on releasing technology. Define and oversee optimal workflows for EMR product technology including but not limited to telehealth, patient facing mobile apps, provider facing mobile apps, and specific product-and-service integrations. Act as liaison between the HOC Clinical Informatics team and other internal and external stakeholders. This role should mentor and lead other analysts on the HOC Clinical Informatics team. The Consulting Clinical Informaticist will need to travel to different facilities, >40% of the time. Duties (included but not limited to):

  • Experience in setting and following clinical & non-clinical workflows and guidelines and be abreast in current healthcare trends & workflows
  • Work hands on with cross-functional teams, serving as the clinical representative to validate and perform gap analysis between new functionality and business needs
  • Experience in testing, releasing, and monitoring products, applications, and software to enterprise users
  • Serves as the Clinical SME for EMR applications
  • Use clinical judgement to determine best practices and workflows in the customization, implementation and optimization of the products and solutions that we support
  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analysis/problem solving and critical thinking
  • Current knowledge of patient care practices
  • Uses clinical and technical knowledge to bridge the gap between clinical/non-technical users and technical to resolve issues
  • Specialized subject matter experts on the products & solutions that they own - and are responsible for the success and growth of said solution
  • Use clinical knowledge to gather and document requirements as well as design, write, and implement test plans for new implementations and product upgrades
  • Participate in special projects and implementations as needed and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in healthcare or IT Product Ownership
  • 3+ years of EMR experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred (preferably in Science, Pre-med, Nursing, Public Health, or Information Technology)
  • RN or LPN Required
  • Technical Requirements
  • Microsoft Suite
  • Jira or similar Agile/Kanban software (Preferred)
  • Expert with modern EMR's & accompanying healthcare related products/integrations
