Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative for our Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate handling of new and reorder medication requests. You will be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment, while also working closely with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, addressing their concerns and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner

  • Coordinate and handle new and reorder medication requests, including verifying benefits and ensuring accurate processing
  • Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into the pharmacy data system, as well as collecting and processing copay payments
  • Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve issues related to medication orders, including identifying and resolving clinical and financial concerns
  • Utilize strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare, business, communications)

  • One year of experience in a customer service role, handling high volumes of complex customer inquiries via phone
  • One year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
  • One year of experience with computer keyboarding, typing, and data entry
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex issues and make sound decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, and clinical terminology

  • Familiarity with pharmacy operations and medication management systems
  • Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g., Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
