- Position: Humanities Tutor / Assistant Student Coach (Dual Role)
- Start Date: August of 2023 and continues the length of the school year
- Days/Hours on Site: Monday -Thursday from 9 am - 4 pm
- Bachelor?s degree in education.
- Past history of instructional coaching.
- Experience teaching and/or tutoring humanities.
- Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS) to receive $40 hourly. If you are not a certified teacher, the pay rate is $30 hourly.
- New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form).
- Complete all training.
- Experience with Google Suite functions including Google Sheets and forms.
- Demonstrated ability to excellent communication and writing skills, particularly in providing feedback to others in a constructive manner.
- Professional skills: attention to detail, timely and proactive communication, and job preparedness.
- Reliable transportation to travel to the site.
- Alignment with Kindle Education?s school model, mission, and values (reference website).
- Willingness to develop skills in online learning platforms/blended learning, social-emotional learning, inquiry, project-based learning, service learning, and personalized learning.
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and organization skills. A genuine excitement for student coaching and supporting the metacognitive and holistic growth of students.
- Readiness to utilize technology, data, and systems of feedback to ensure transparency, consistency, and continuous improvement.
- Preference for fast-paced and diverse startup cultures where everyone wears multiple hats.
- Team player who is willing to give more than they take.
- Strong belief in the importance of diversity and intentionally integrated communities.

- Each week will include grade and content team meetings where staff will build community and share best practices.
- Kindle Education will be located in a brand-new facility and will provide top-of-the-line technology and classroom resources.
- Compensation is $30 hourly for Non-certified Tutors; and $40 hourly for Certified Tutors.
