Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • 2 years of experience with manufacturing, supply chain management, or fulfillment planning and execution in a new product introduction (NPI) role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree in a technical field.
  • 3 years of experience in supply chain or large-scale operations.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with broad operational scope and executing with high independence.
  • Excellent communication and people management skills with the ability to take initiative and build strong, productive relationships externally and internally.
  • Excellent investigative, problem-solving, negotiation and organizational skills and passion for functioning in an ambiguous and evolving engineering operations environment.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

As a Program Manager, you will manage cross-functional projects in resource planning, optimization, and delivery in one of the world's most impressive computing infrastructures. You will both run transformational programs and execute projects on the Fleet Actions Delivery Team in the Global Infrastructure Group (GIG).

In this role, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You will plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and you will keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop machine learning enablement across the reconfigs portfolio (Decoms, MaaT Remove, Rack Moves, MaaT Moves).
  • Develop deployment plans and fulfillment strategies for machine delivery in partnership with product areas and the Supply Chain team.
  • Communicate program health, status, and actions to stakeholders including product areas, leadership, and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate across organizational levels and boundaries and drive efforts to improve efficiency, cycle times, reliability, predictability and on-time delivery.
  • Work with cross-functional partners and Software Engineering teams to design automation needs for scale and efficiency and oversee and ensure successful execution and on-time delivery of these plans and strategies. Troubleshoot issues, identify risk areas and develop mitigation strategies.
