Job title: Drama/Theater Teacher Company: Teach Mississippi Job description: Position Summary: The teacher is responsible for instructing students on various acting techniques and styles, working activities performed by a Drama Teacher are developing lesson plans, teaching courses, helping students create dramatic pieces, leading rehearsals, grading assignments, and monitoring students. ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Through knowledge of the acquisition of reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
• Understanding of social studies standards and coursework
• Technology literate with the ability to lead and support the meaningful integration of technology into daily instruction
• Provide professional leadership in curriculum design and instructional delivery for all students
• Communicate effectively with district staff
• Support and enhance the development of student assessments
• Comply with all district policies, rules, and regulations
• Facilitate staff training and the implementation of English Language Arts and social studies curriculum
• Provide staff leadership to ensure the understanding and support of educational goals in the district through collaboration with teachers
• Provide staff leadership in ways that the curriculum can be adjusted through scaffolding, differentiation, modification, and accommodation to meet the special learning needs of all children
