Position Highlights The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) at the University of Arizona is the only English program accredited by the Commission on English Language Program Accreditation (CEA) in Arizona. CESL has been offering high-quality English language and teacher training programs for over 50 years. CESL's Teacher Training Program is committed to offering superior education and training for both new and experienced teachers of English as a second or foreign language. We provide quality online and face-to-face courses year-round to professionals both here in Tucson, and around the world. Currently, CESL is searching for a full-time Coordinator for our TEFL Program (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) to join our amazing team.

Duties & Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Day-to-day oversight of CESL's Teacher Training program (TT).
- Creating and maintaining updated syllabus templates, program overviews, and student handbook for all TT program courses.
- Marketing and recruitment for new students in CESLâ??s TT programs.
- Assisting with the placement of graduates by promoting TT programs to potential employers.
- Assisting with student inquiries, applications, and registrations.
- Setting up and updating courses in CESLâ??s Learning Management System.
- Tracking of student progress and maintaining student academic records.
- Supervising grading of TEFL student portfolios.
- Assisting with processing certificates across TT programs.
- Working with the Special Programs Coordinator on proposals for customized TT programs.
- Updating and revising curriculum as needed, included in compliance with CEA reporting requirements.
- Supervising faculty teaching in Teacher Training programs.
- Other department and university-level service.
- Skill in the use of computers and software, including Microsoft Office and database software.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different groups and individuals.
- Knowledge of TEFL/TESOL practices and principles.
- Ability to problem solve and make independent decisions.
- Familiarity with local and global marketing strategies.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple deadlines.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Language program administration or similar experience.
- Previous experience traveling and living abroad.
- Fluency in more than one language.
