We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically driven Environmental Compliance Consultant to support clients in meeting complex global environmental regulations, with a particular focus on Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) requirements, including WEEE, Packaging, and Batteries.

In this role, you will produce high-quality compliance reports and provide expert guidance to clients on their regulatory obligations across multiple jurisdictions. You will conduct in-depth research into evolving environmental legislation worldwide, liaise with national enforcement agencies across EU Member States and internationally, and manage client registrations and submissions of product, battery, and packaging data to regulators and recycling schemes.

A core aspect of the role involves working with Sphera’s EC4P platform—an award-winning web-based solution that enables electronics manufacturers to efficiently manage and fulfil their environmental compliance obligations globally. You will play a key role in helping clients leverage this tool to minimise the environmental impact of their products at end-of-life.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete a short compliance assessment task to demonstrate their research and report writing capabilities, providing insight into the type of work undertaken in the role.

Requirements:

  • Degree in science, engineering, technology, law, or a related technical discipline (minimum 2:1 or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical and research skills, with excellent report writing ability
  • Ability to communicate complex technical information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong IT skills and willingness to learn new systems and tools
  • Excellent time management, organisational, and interpersonal skills
  • A collaborative team player who responds well to feedback
  • Prior experience or knowledge of EPR regulations (WEEE, Packaging, Batteries) is desirable
