The Role

We’re looking for a Sales Development Representative (SDR) who knows how to create opportunity. Someone who is not afraid of the phone, understands the value of process, and brings urgency to every interaction.

This is not a “smile and dial” role. It’s about smart outreach, strong conversations, and setting up real opportunities that turn into business.

You’ll be the first impression of Better Car People. You will connect with dealers, identify gaps in their process, and open the door for our Account Executives to step in and close.

What You’ll Do

  • Build pipeline by prospecting automotive dealerships through calls, email, and social outreach
  • Start real conversations with decision-makers such as GMs, GSMs, and Internet Directors
  • Qualify opportunities by understanding current sales process, lead handling, and performance gaps
  • Set high-quality meetings and demos that convert, not just fill calendars
  • Partner closely with Account Executives to strategize on accounts and territories
  • Stay sharp on our solutions, dealership challenges, and industry trends
  • Track activity and pipeline in Salesforce with discipline and accuracy
  • Consistently hit and push past activity and performance targets

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in automotive, dealership, vendor, or related sales role strongly preferred
  • Proven ability or strong desire to prospect and generate outbound opportunities
  • Comfortable on the phone and confident leading conversations with industry professionals
  • Strong work ethic with a competitive, results-driven mindset
  • Ability to handle objections without losing momentum
  • Organized, accountable, and consistent with follow-up
  • Coachable, adaptable, and motivated to improve every day
