Claims Specialist (Bilingual English/French)

Turo is the world’s largest car sharing marketplace, and they are seeking a Bilingual Claims Specialist to join their Claims team in Toronto. The role involves providing exceptional customer service, investigating and processing auto claims, and contributing to the continuous improvement of claims handling processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to Turo Hosts and Guests
  • Investigate and process auto claims filed by Hosts and Guests
  • Assist Turo members in the self-resolution process
  • Coordinate claims processing with Turo’s third-party administrator
  • Collect any amounts due from Guests
  • Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of claims handling processes
  • Support Turo’s goal of being a leader in customer service and cost management

Skills

  • Must reside in Toronto, Ontario
  • Bilingual fluency in French and English
  • Entry-level candidates with strong customer service experience and demonstrated interest in automotive are encouraged to apply
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change
  • Excellent follow-through and attention to detail with minimal supervision
  • Strong team player with a positive attitude, high energy, integrity, and strong work ethic
  • Commitment to responsiveness and availability
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and claims management systems
  • 1+ year of auto claims handling experience preferred, ideally with a major auto insurance carrier or car rental company
  • Experience balancing solutions across multiple stakeholders in a two-sided marketplace environment, including Hosts, Guests, third parties, and internal teams
