Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Evening Specimen Processor - Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Receiving and routing laboratory specimens for testing, ensuring timely and accurate processing
- Data entering lab requests, double-checking test orders, and recognizing when corrective action is needed
- Working in a laboratory environment with biological hazards and PPE requirements, championing safety, compliance, and quality control
- Collaborating with our team to provide exceptional support to patients and healthcare providers, without being face-to-face
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills, with typing proficiency, including 10-key
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a sense of urgency and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:
- 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in specimen collection and processing
- Data entry experience in a production environment
