Temporary Customer Service Representative Role

We're seeking a Temporary Customer Service Representative to join our Laboratory Billing Services Department on a temporary full-time basis for approximately 3-4 months. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our patients and members through effective communication, education, and resolution of telephone inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

* Handle incoming calls to address issues related to member eligibility, plan prescription benefits, and claim payment issues or patient services needs

• Provide quality service and customer satisfaction through effective communication and education
• Update billing information, establish payment plans, resolve payment inquiries, or patient scheduling as needed
• Utilize your problem-solving skills to research and resolve complex customer issues
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and resolution of customer concerns
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in our electronic medical record system (EMR)

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

• Two years of Customer Service experience, preferably in a hospital or physician's office setting, specifically Laboratory
• Experience registering patients preferred
• High Volume call center experience preferred
• Epic EMR experience preferred
• Data entry skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working in a medical insurance setting

• Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare concepts
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
