Job title: Beacon Center Staff II Company: Wayne RESA Job description: Must function as part of a multi-disciplinary team in meeting physical and emotional needs of special education children in a highly structured setting. Familiarity with evidenced based and best practices working with students with emotional impairments Excellent communication skills Patient, kind, and caring demeanor Excellent attendance and punctuality necessary Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable. DUTIES: Provide daily crisis intervention coverage Organize and facilitate preventative students activities to decrease crisis intervention Provide statistics for individual students to students and staff Document student behavior and alert administration per center policies Operates crisis intervention room in the absence of Beacon Center Staff I, including weekly entry Attend and participate in all program meetings Assist in training staff Attend and assist CPI training provided by Beacon certified CPI instructors.
