Position Summary

As a Member Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing telephone assistance to our Medicaid and Medicare members and providers. You'll be the first point of contact for our clients, and your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will make all the difference in delivering an outstanding experience.

Responsibilities

* Answer inbound calls from members and providers, responding to inquiries regarding benefits, eligibility, services, prior authorization requirements, extra benefits, and programs

  • Provide accurate and timely information to resolve member and provider issues
  • Utilize strong customer service skills to de-escalate conflicts and resolve issues efficiently
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support
  • Meet performance standards, attendance requirements, and call quality goals
  • Work from home with high-speed internet connectivity via ethernet cable (Wi-Fi is not permitted)
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance your skills and knowledge

Training and Onboarding

* Our comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role

  • You'll receive training on our systems, processes, and policies, as well as ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure your success
  • Our training schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM EST, for the first six weeks

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to communicate effectively with members and providers orally and in written form
  • Strong customer service skills, with a focus on empathy, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to work from home and be self-sufficient
  • Must live within 50 miles of Princeton, NJ
  • Ability to commute to the office in Princeton, NJ when unable to work from home due to prolonged technical problems

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working remotely in a call center setting

  • Experience with Medicaid and Medicare
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures

Compensation and Benefits

* Competitive salary range: $17.00 - $27.90 per hour
