The Role
As a Customer Support Representative for American Express, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, providing them with expert advice, guidance, and support. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Building relationships with customers through proactive communication and personalized support
- Providing product and service information, recommendations, and promotions to meet customer needs
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
- Continuously improving processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience
- Meeting or exceeding performance metrics and targets
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality customer service through phone, email, and chat channels
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner
- Build relationships with customers through proactive communication and personalized support
- Provide product and service information, recommendations, and promotions to meet customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve overall customer satisfaction
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance the customer experience
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and targets
Essential Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in customer-facing roles, preferably in the financial services or travel industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues
- Proficiency in using technology, including CRM systems, email, and chat platforms
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
- Knowledge of American Express products and services
- Familiarity with industry-leading CRM systems and software
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Fluency in multiple languages
