Job description: The Early Childhood Program Outreach and Transition Coordinator assists the Early Intervention Services team, ASD Preschool leadership, related services providers, and teachers in promoting quality Child Find and early childhood transitions within the Anchorage School District and community. The position has a retirement association with the Public Employees? Retirement System (PERS).
Job Requirements
The following are required: * A bachelor?s degree in early childhood education, elementary education, or a related field; or a minimum of three years of experience in early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of or experience with software collaboration tools such as Google Drive, PowerSchool, Adobe Pro, Panda Docs, and Zoom.
- Knowledge of ASD Preschool programs.
- Knowledge of Childfind regulations.
- Knowledge of early childhood screenings.
- Ability to communicate with partner agencies, families, and ASD Early Intervention.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Facilitates applications coming from ILP. Communicates with providers and families about any needed file components.
- Attends community fairs and activities to promote Childfind across Anchorage.
- Support the EISC and special education department in Childfind communications and outreach.
