The Role

As a Remote Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for receiving, collecting, reviewing, and entering data into our computer system or tracking database. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will ensure that our data is accurate, complete, and up-to-date. You'll also have the opportunity to provide basic reports and serve as a resource for other staff members.

Key Responsibilities:

* Read source documents and enter data in specific data fields accurately

  • Collect, compile, sort, and verify the data's accuracy or completeness before it is entered
  • Perform data integrity tasks by locating and correcting data entry errors, or reporting them to supervisors
  • Scan or upload documents as needed
  • Perform routine office/lab duties, such as answering phones and maintaining supplies
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work, and file completed documents in appropriate locations or distribute them
  • Provide data lists, spreadsheets, and reports as required
  • Create or modify databases according to the needs of the department
  • Provide direction or assistance to users of information regarding data requirements and status of paperwork
  • Train other data entry employees as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

* High School diploma or GED required; Associates degree/Bachelors Degree preferred

  • Two years of experience in data entry or a related field
