The Role

As a Part-Time Remote Insurance Customer Service Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service, support, and guidance to help them achieve their goals. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Processing customer policy change requests
• Completing Evidence of Insurance requests
• Taking premium payments from customers
• Treating each customer contact as a cross and up-sell opportunity, including financial products
• Returning all phone messages promptly
• Sharing training and education knowledge and expertise with team members
• Thoroughly understanding and following all underwriting, rating, and compliance requirements
• Maintaining knowledge of new products and services
• Generating insurance quotes
• Providing exceptional customer service and support
• Building and maintaining client relationships
• Following up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit further sales, and solve or refer problems
• Working independently and as part of a team
• Handling customer renewals

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• A Property & Casualty insurance license (required)
• Experience with Farmers Insurance quoting systems (preferred)
• A genuine willingness to learn, be intuitive, and resourceful
• Proficiency in multi-tasking, follow-through, and follow-up
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Confidence, self-starter mentality, and ability to work well independently
• Ability to multi-task and handle customer rejection
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to take initiative, be proactive, and think outside the box
