Job Summary

As a Part-Time Remote Customer Support Representative, you'll be responsible for addressing customer inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional support to our clients. This role requires strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations. Key Responsibilities

* Respond to inbound customer calls from Canada and the US regarding FTNC and FedEx OPCOs, providing information on customs clearance, duties, and financial expenses as per US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidelines.

  • Handle credit card payments from clients for their FTNC-FXG freedom requests, assist FedEx Express customer care, and FedEx Income Services with inquiries from U.S. carriers regarding charged back customs clearance charges.
  • Note and address calls from Canada/US, answering customer inquiries and directing them to the relevant FTNC division or FedEx OPCO for resolution.
  • Investigate and respond to customer inquiries regarding FTNC clearances for FXG shipments into Canada, providing accurate and timely information.
  • Process Mastercard payments from clients, ensuring that payment is approved and not declined.
  • Log payments accurately against the receipt in the FTNC accounting system.
  • Liaise with customers directly in the event of payment processing issues, such as incorrect credit card numbers, expired dates, or declined payments.
  • Examine and respond to customer inquiries regarding credit payments received and liaise with the FTN Record Receivable Office to resolve issues.
  • Assist the billing department in preparing credit notes for FTNC requests in question resolution.

Inside Customer Service

* Support FedEx Express Customer Service Agents on inquiries related to FXG shipments in customs clearance delay or FTNC freedom receipt that the customer has received in the mail.

  • Sort and relate Low Value Shipment (LVS) Archive for the purpose of mailing.
  • Answer inquiries from other OPCOs.
  • Prepare FTNC requests to ship to clients, as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

* Secondary School Certificate required

  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Outlook, IBM AS 400 Centralized computer application framework, and office equipment (fax machine/scanners/printers/scanners)
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in French and English
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact with multiple customers and representatives
