What you'll do...:
Support cross-functional compliance efforts by interpreting government contract language, organizing regulatory requirements, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation throughout the state LOI process.
Day to day, you'll...
- Analyze state letters of intent (government contracts) to identify and document changes impacting company compliance with state Departments of Revenue requirements
- Compile state compliance requirements in a logical and consumable format for use by other groups and departments
- Directly support the program lead in preparing and reviewing state letters of intent
- Monitor deadlines and submission statuses to ensure timelines are met and records remain accurate throughout the LOI submission lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience
- A minimum of 3 years tax research, tax preparation, or related experience
- Ability to treat confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- A solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Experience in multi-state tax preparation or concepts
- Completion of Judicial Clerkship
- Circular 230 designation (attorney, CPA, or EA)
- Graduate degree in accounting, tax, or law, or progress towards completion of such degree
