About the Position: Serves as a Brazilian Portuguese language teacher for CONTINUING EDUCATION FIELD SUPPORT & SPECIAL PROGRAMS located in Miami, Florida. The Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) offers foreign language instruction in more than two dozen languages on a schedule that extends throughout the year. Courses are taught six hours per day, five days a week, with the exception of federal holidays and training holidays.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- Applicants who do not possess a current, valid U.S. work authorization may not be appointed for 12 months, 1 day, but will receive an appointment aligned to their work authorization status, to include those who may only be appointed for less than one year, who will receive a TEMPORARY Tenure 0 appointment.
- This position is a TERM time limited position, tenure track. The initial appointment is not to exceed (NTE) 12 months, 1 day, and may be extended upon mission, funding and management discretion.
