Job Summary

As a Medical Billing - Email And Chat Representative, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service to our patients via email and live chat. You'll be responsible for responding to medical billing inquiries, resolving billing issues, and educating patients on billing processes and insurance options. Responsibilities

As a Medical Billing - Email And Chat Representative, your key responsibilities will include: ### Email Support

  • Respond to patient emails regarding medical billing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Resolve billing issues promptly and accurately, providing clear explanations and solutions.
  • Provide accurate information on billing, insurance, and payment options, ensuring patients understand their options and next steps.

### Live Chat Support

  • Engage with patients via live chat, addressing billing questions and concerns in a friendly and empathetic manner.
  • Utilize knowledge base and resources to provide accurate and up-to-date information on billing processes and insurance options.
  • Troubleshoot billing issues and escalate complex concerns to ensure timely resolution.

### Customer Service

  • Provide empathetic and personalized support to patients, addressing their concerns and resolving issues promptly.
  • Educate patients on billing processes and insurance options, ensuring they understand their coverage and responsibilities.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, even in challenging situations.

### Data Entry and Record-Keeping

  • Accurately update patient records and billing information, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
  • Document patient interactions and resolutions, maintaining a clear and concise record of all communications.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 1+ year of customer service experience in medical billing or healthcare, with a strong focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance regulations, including HIPAA guidelines.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.

Preferred Qualifications

* Certified Medical Reimbursement Specialist (CMRS) or Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) certification.

  • Experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and medical billing software.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and compliance.
