Responsibilities
As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
- Trailer Inspection and Log Entry: You'll be responsible for inspecting all trailers entering and leaving the warehouse and logging their status, including trailer number, seal number, trailer status, farm hauler number, load number, date, and time.
- Yard Check and Inventory Management: You'll conduct a daily yard check to ensure that all trailers are properly secured and that inventory is accurate.
- Trailer Dispatch and Yard Management: You'll dispatch trailers to the correct areas of the warehouse and manage the flow of trailers in and out of the yard.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: You'll maintain accurate records and documentation, including trailer logs, inventory reports, and other relevant documents.
- Communication and Collaboration: You'll work closely with other teams, including switchers, dock managers, and transportation coordinators, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
- Warehouse and Logistics Experience: You'll have experience working in a warehouse or logistics environment, with a strong understanding of inventory management and trailer operations.
- Computer Skills: You'll have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and other relevant software.
- Attention to Detail: You'll have a strong attention to detail and be able to accurately log and document trailer information.
- Communication Skills: You'll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively with other teams.
- Physical Demands: You'll be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours per day and perform all tasks without accommodations.
