Job Summary

As a Medical Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the first point of contact for patients and healthcare providers seeking assistance with medical billing inquiries. Your exceptional communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities will make you an invaluable asset to our team. You'll work closely with our healthcare professionals to resolve issues, provide accurate information, and ensure seamless communication.

Responsibilities

* Provide exceptional phone support to patients and healthcare providers, handling billing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Assist patients effectively by clarifying questions and ensuring they receive the information they need.
  • Work through issues by pinpointing the root cause, researching solutions, implementing the best option, and escalating unresolved matters when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate patient records by inputting information into our computer system.
  • Route incoming calls to the most suitable person within the company, ensuring seamless communication.
  • Utilize Epic Software to manage patient records and billing information (experience highly preferred).
  • Possess strong communication skills in English and Spanish (bi-lingual a plus).
  • Work collaboratively with our healthcare professionals to resolve complex issues and provide accurate information.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance guidelines.

Requirements

* 1+ year of experience working in a call center, preferably in a medical claims and/or insurance setting.

  • High School Diploma, GED, or transcripts required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Ability to undergo a criminal background check and pass a drug screen test (testing for THC).
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 50 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload speed.
  • Ability to work from home in a quiet setting with no others within earshot, due to HIPAA compliance.
  • Workspace to accommodate two monitors and a computer.

Preferred Qualifications

* Epic Software experience.

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English).
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
