Content Marketing Manager
Benefits:
- 401(k)
- Health insurance
- Paid time off
- Write and edit newsletters, blog posts, email sequences, ad copy, press releases, social media scripts, and web page content
- Build and manage a content bank with a running pipeline of ideas sourced from your own research, team input, and industry trends
- Batch content production to maintain consistent output across all channels
- Brief creative assets into production when visuals are needed alongside copy
- Develop and maintain post opt-in email sequences and reactivation campaigns across the entire CRM
- Build reactivation sequences that bring cold leads back into conversation with measurable results
- Monitor deliverability, segmentation, open rates, and spam rates to keep email performance strong
- Edit and help shape a book manuscript alongside the author: organizing, refining, and tightening content
- Write ecommerce product copy for new supplement launches
- Create product pages that convert browsers into buyers
- Submit all sends and final content to the GHL team for publishing (you write and edit, they execute the send)
- Meet regularly with leadership to align on priorities, review performance, and iterate
- Participate in a review and approval process for all published content
- 5+ years of content writing and development experience
- Proven direct response copywriting skills with emails, ads, and CTAs that actually convert
- Long-form writing ability: blogs, newsletters, and manuscript-level content
- Email marketing knowledge: deliverability, segmentation, open rates, spam management
- Brand voice development: you can learn a voice and maintain it across every channel and format
- Proof of previous work: a campaign that performed, a newsletter you owned, or a blog you ran
- Experience writing for health, wellness, or medical brands
- SEO writing experience
- A portfolio or published work you can share
- You are always finding new topics. You are not waiting for assignments. You are reading, researching, and pitching ideas constantly.
- You love experimenting with copy styles, formats, and tones because that is how you get better.
- You are an A/B testing nerd who gets excited when data confirms your instinct and equally curious when it does not.
- You know what good content and good copy look like, so when you work with AI tools and AI agents, you can edit their output and make it remarkable. You see AI as a multiplier for your talent, not a replacement for it.
- You cannot organize across multiple content streams at once. This role touches newsletters, email sequences, blog posts, ad copy, a book manuscript, and product pages. If you lose track easily, you will drown.
- You need three days to write one email. We have a large volume of content and a backlog to catch up on.
- You are precious about your words. Your work will go through review and editing. If you cannot take feedback without taking it personally, you will be frustrated here.
- You have never written long-form content. If your experience is limited to social captions and short posts, this role requires a different muscle.
- Email performance: open rates, click-through rates, spam/unsubscribe rates, and reactivation conversion rates
- Content output and consistency: newsletter cadence, blog publishing frequency, and deadlines hit
- Organic revenue from scheduled calls driven by content
- Content pipeline health: ideas sourced, drafts in progress, pieces published
- Pay: $60,000–$80,000/year
- Location: Remote (U.S. business hours)
- Schedule: Full-time
- Reports to: Marketing Leadership
- Your resume or LinkedIn profile
- Proof of previous work: a campaign that performed, a newsletter you owned, or a blog you ran (we want results, not just writing samples)
- Portfolio or writing samples if available
