Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Data Entry Clerk to join our team on a full-time remote basis. As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our data management processes. You'll be responsible for transferring data from paper formats into computer files or database systems, creating spreadsheets, verifying data, and performing regular backups to ensure data preservation. Key Responsibilities

* Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using keyboards, data recorders, or optical scanners

  • Type in data provided directly from customers with high accuracy and speed
  • Create spreadsheets with large numbers of figures without mistakes, ensuring data integrity and consistency
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents, identifying and correcting errors
  • Update existing data to ensure accuracy and relevance
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested, providing timely and efficient support to our team
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation and minimize the risk of data loss

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Data Entry Clerk, with a strong track record of accuracy and efficiency

  • Fast typing skills; knowledge of touch typing system is strongly preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases and data management principles
