Job Responsibilities

As a Proofreader & Customer Representative Specialist at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of our content. Your responsibilities will include:

• Proofreading Written and Digital Work Product: Review and edit written content, including marketing materials, internal documents, emails, press releases, and website text, to ensure accuracy, grammar, punctuation, syntax, usage, consistency, and brand voice.
• Crosschecking References and Data: Verify the accuracy of all referenced facts and double-check cross-referenced materials to ensure the integrity of our content.
• Reviewing Output for Consistency: Review content to ensure consistency with company-wide work and maintain a deep understanding of our brand voice and messaging.
• Collaborating with Team Members: Attend team meetings, provide constructive editorial input, and communicate with team members to ensure consistent, accurate, and high-quality work product.
• Improving Editing Processes: Suggest process improvements and evaluate and recommend changes to create efficiencies and enhance our content creation process.

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
• Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for language.
• Proficiency in computer software, including word processing, email, and content management systems.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

• Experience in a proofreading or editing role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with arenaflex's brand voice and messaging.
• Knowledge of industry-standard proofreading symbols and software.
• Experience with content management systems and digital publishing platforms.
• Certification in editing or proofreading, such as the Certified Professional in Editing (CPE) or the Certified Proofreader (CP).
