About the Role As the Director of Account Development and Client Management, you'll oversee a portfolio of merchant relationships with companies headquartered across Southern California. Your team will be responsible for growing American Express revenue by establishing mutually beneficial, profitable, and long-lasting relationships with merchant accounts. Key Responsibilities * Lead a team of 5 senior client managers to manage, deepen, and improve relationships with 400+ respected brands * Develop, lead, and motivate a top-performing team to retain and drive incremental business (B2B and B2C) by growing revenue and improving share * Cultivate a culture of learning, strong challenger coaching skills, and consultative relationship management * Lead your team in maintaining and strengthening American Express' business by showcasing value, growing revenue, improving share, and increasing profitability * Embrace the fast-changing payments landscape and keep current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators * Partner with internal colleagues to seek out and develop partnership and marketing assets that will be relevant to your customer base * Model key sales behaviors/skills and balance deal and skill coaching * Increase Merchant Satisfaction and maximize profits with an enterprise approach Essential Qualifications * 5+ years of experience in a senior client management or account development role * Proven track record of driving revenue growth and improving customer satisfaction * Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights to drive business decisions * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines Preferred Qualifications * Experience working in the payments industry, with a strong understanding of payment trends and economic/competitive indicators * Strong knowledge of sales and marketing principles, with the ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies * Experience working with large, complex clients, with a strong understanding of their needs and pain points * Strong technical skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights to drive business decisions * Experience working in a global, diverse environment, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances Skills and Competencies * Strong leadership and coaching skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team * Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights to drive business decisions * Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines * Strong technical skills, with the ability to analyze data and develop insights to drive business decisions * Experience working in a global, diverse environment, with a strong understanding of cultural differences and nuances Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we're committed to helping you grow and develop your career.
