Job Summary

As a Benefits Customer Service Associate III, you'll be responsible for handling complex customer inquiries related to our marketed health insurance and life insurance products. You'll act as a resource, providing expert guidance and support to customers, and be responsible for answering incoming calls, placing outbound calls, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

* Answer incoming customer calls and respond to customer requests, answering complex questions, and interpreting a variety of policies, rules, regulations, and performing a full range of customer service duties

  • Understand basic telecommunications and provide an advanced knowledge of products and functionality
  • Provide quick, professional, precise resolution to customer issues/questions
  • Enter customer requests into data systems, open and dispatch work orders to various departments, and complete call history
  • Handle customer requests via fax, email, or voicemail within 24 hours or 1 business day

Supervisory Responsibilities

This role does not have supervisory duties, allowing you to focus on delivering exceptional customer service and driving results.

Education and Experience

* High school diploma or equivalent

  • 0-2 years of experience (Preferred)
  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

* No Certification, License, or Registration is required for the job

Functional Skills

* Up to two years of post-high school training in a specialized trade, technical school, or college

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Insurance background, including knowledge of health insurance terminology, is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required
