Experienced Customer Service Representative – Retail Sales and Customer Support

Job Summary:
As an Experienced Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will assist our higher-level customer service representatives in performing a variety of duties, including taking special orders, providing layaway services, resolving routine customer complaints, and operating a cash register. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate records and logs, keeping track of catalogs and price sheets, and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Assist in taking special orders for authorized merchandise, including items from mail order catalogs, and provide layaway services to our customers.
- Resolve routine customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner, and refer unusual or complex issues to higher-level associates.
- Assist in making refunds or exchanging merchandise for authorized patrons, and ensure that sales receipts are present and accurate.
- Check merchandise for damage or ticket switching, and contact appropriate personnel to return merchandise to stock.
- Maintain accurate records and logs of customer service transactions, and keep track of catalogs and price sheets for authorized items.
- Operate a cash register in accordance with established cash control procedures, and be responsible for own cash change fund.
- Complete daily cash reports and ensure proper balance.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and providing assistance in a prompt and friendly manner.
- Understand and adhere to arenaflex's policies and procedures, and actively seek to become knowledgeable about store policies, merchandise sold, and services offered.
Qualifications:
* 1 year of responsible experience in clerical, office, or retail sales store work, demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily in the position to be filled.
- Study completed in a college, university, or junior college above the high school level may be substituted on the basis of one-half academic year of study for 6 months of experience.
