Experienced Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative – Medical Claims and Customer Support

We're now seeking an experienced Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a key member of our customer support team, you will be responsible for answering inbound calls from medical providers, patients, and billing services to assist in explaining services and claims information. This is a full-time opportunity with flexible hours available between 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Central Time Zone, Monday through Friday.

Key Responsibilities

As a Remote Inbound Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming claim calls and logging data into our proprietary medical bill review system
  • Providing explanations of benefits, services, and claims/reimbursement procedures
  • Interfacing with providers, patients, billing services, and insurance adjusters in a professional manner
  • Meeting performance metrics and quality standards
  • Collaborating with internal teams to resolve customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
  • Staying up-to-date with company policies, procedures, and product knowledge

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to train and work in a remote environment
  • No prior medical insurance experience is required, as we will train individuals who are willing to continue to learn and be developed
  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years prior customer service experience required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task with customer interactions and various applications
  • A positive attitude and desire to provide outstanding customer service
  • Ability to learn basic medical terminology
  • Weekday schedule flexibility

  • Quiet and professional work environment free of distractions
  • High-speed internet connection (DSL or cable modem - non-cellular - with minimum speed of 25 mbps download and 15 mbps upload)
