Job description:
- Position: Round Valley School - School Year ?23- ?24 Certified Teacher -Tutor ($40 hourly) Non-Certified Tutor ($30 hourly)
- Hours on Site: Mon, Weds and Fri from 8:30 - 3:30 (This will be a three-day-a-week position, days and hours TBD)
- Time Frame: Approx. 16-week program - 11/13/23 - 4/26/24 (Paid training will be provided prior to the start date)
- Location: 128 Cokesbury Rd, Lebanon, NJ 08833
- Engage with scholars in grades 3-5 to build on existing mathematics skills.
- Complete daily records on scholar progress and site needs using the tools provided.
- Use data to drive instruction.
- Communicate regularly with your site coordinator to provide optimum learning- experiences for scholars.
- Participate in coaching from an instructional coach.
- Use an asset-based approach in working with scholars.
- Be responsive and work collaboratively with other tutors and site staff.
- Complete all training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Experience working with young children, preferably in a learning and teaching capacity.
- Standard certificate, certificate of eligibility (CE), or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing (CEAS) to receive the $40 hourly pay rate.
- New Jersey Certification of Criminal History (fingerprint form)
- Experience with Google Suite functions including Google Sheets and Forms.
- Professional skills include attention to detail, timely and proactive communication, and job preparedness.
- Reliable transportation to travel to sites.
- Genuine desire to work with young children in a teaching capacity, building on foundational skills and closing learning gaps using formative and summative data and strong teaching pedagogy.
- Background Clearance- The final offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and employment authorization verification.
- Local COVID requirements of the Queen City Academy Charter School site including any mask rules that must be followed while indoors, if applicable.
