Salary: The pay for this role is $18.00 per hour, up to 30 hours per week.
Integrated Marketing & Events Intern
UNICEF USA is seeking an Integrated Marketing & Events intern for its New York office. The intern will work in collaboration with the Integrated Marketing Strategist (NYC-based) and Integrated Marketing Events Manager (virtual) to support civil society and corporate partnerships, individual giving engagements and the organization of a new Individual Giving event series to be launched in July 2026. We are currently seeking paid interns for our cohort that will take place June 2, 2026 to August 21, 2026.
This internship would provide an opportunity to learn about:
- UNICEF USA civil society and corporate partner engagement priorities
- UNICEF USA philanthropic and cultivation initiatives
- UNICEF USA event planning and execution
- UNICEF USA Individual Giving workstream including leadership giving, major gifts and planned giving
Key Responsibilities/Projects
- Create planning templates and event materials to help launch a new UNICEF USA Individual Giving event series that is set to span 8-9 priority markets and 4-6 new lead generation markets
- Support the Integrated Marketing Events Manager with daily event operations including joining planning meetings, and creating and updating event templates such as timelines, schedules, and speaker briefings
- Research event venues and vendors, including maintaining a database of contacts across markets
- Support with other cultivation event projects as needed
- Assist in developing an Individual Giving calender that maps key business unit moments, email campaigns, events, and other relevant activations in collaboration with the Leadership Giving, Major Gifts and Planned Giving teams
- Support story sourcing for monthly Major Gifts e-newsletter sends and reviewing test emails prior to deployement
- Assist in refreshing civil society and corporate partnership landing pages
- Conduct research and audits of peer websites to inform updates UNICEF USA’s planned giving webpage
Qualifications
- Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program
- Must be authorized to work in the United States for the entire timeline (June 2, 2026 – August 21, 2026).
- Interns can work up to 30 hours maximum a week during the Summer cohort.
- Must provide their own equipment (e.g. laptop) and have access to a stable internet connection.
- Interest in program management, event planning, nonprofit management or related field preferred
- Must have experience with community organizing, volunteer management, and a passion for inspiring others (extracurricular activities, leaders of clubs etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of the community for which the candidate is applying a plus
- The successful candidate must also have a demonstrated interest in and knowledge of children's rights and international issues, as well as a commitment to public service
- The ideal candidate will be a resourceful and energetic with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work autonomously with attention to detail
- Innovation, creativity, and a team player mentality are necessary for success in this role
- Demonstrated ability to lead effective presentations and workshops and ease
- Proven ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a team setting; additional language(s) a plus
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written; experience working with cross-country teams a plus
- Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
- Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
