About this Opportunity

The Sr. Supply Planner is responsible for balancing supply and demand to ensure optimal product availability while minimizing inventory costs. This role develops and executes supply plans that align with demand forecasts, network capacity, site capability, and business objectives within assigned market and Business Unit. This role will support the supply planning responsibilities for the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. Additionally, the Supply Planner will play a critical role in working cross-functionally with Vantedge Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, Sales and Product Management teams to support our S&OP vision and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain short- and long-term supply plans based on demand forecasts, available capacity, and inventory targets
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate demand signals into machine and labor capacity requirements across multiple facilities, including staffing models, capacity planning, and capital investment requirements
  • Identify long range bottlenecks from internal fabrication and purchasing data, and develop mitigation strategies
  • Work cross-functionally to drive decision-making, new processes, collaboration, and visibility to the key commercial opportunities and risks in assigned market.
  • Own and participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes including leading supply reviews and presenting data, risks, and actions
  • Create scenario plans to mitigate risk and conduct cost/benefit analyses
  • Recommend process improvements to optimize planning efficiency and accuracy
  • Coordinate new product launch build plans with product management, supply chain, operations, and engineering.
  • Report and analyze supply performance metrics (fill rate, inventory turns, OTIF, backorders)
  • Make well-informed, effective, and timely decisions even when data is limited.
  • Creation of finished goods and component safety stock strategies to meet service level and inventory goals.
  • Present in S&OP meetings or other forums to drive decisions related to supply/demand
  • Lead activities to ensure supply plan and schedule are aligned, in partnership with S&OP, and work to reconcile planning elements when disconnects arise
  • Maintain accurate master data and planning parameters to drive the correct supply/demand signals
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, operations management, or related field
  • 8+ years’ proven experience in supply/production planning and supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years’ experience with ERP/MRP systems
  • 3+ years’ experience in sales and operations planning.
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to use data and standardize the use of data to drive improved decision making.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning tools preferred
  • APICS certification a plus
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
