RCM Solution Architect

The Solution Architect is responsible for identifying automation opportunities within the Revenue Cycle, evaluating complex operational workflows, and architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance intelligent automation solutions. This role serves as the definitive design authority, translating intricate operational requirements and business logic into comprehensive technical blueprints. The solution architect ensure seamless delivery by providing cross-functional support during development, testing, go-live, and ongoing optimization efforts.

Description

Responsibilities

-Identify & Quantify Opportunities: Collaborate with client business and technical teams through shadowing and process mapping to identify high-impact automation use cases. 

  • Assess opportunities from financial, operational, and technical feasibility perspectives. 
  • Build and prioritize a pipeline of automation initiatives aligned with strategic program goals. 

-Architect Intelligent Solutions: Design end-to-end automations, incorporating RPA, API integrations, and AI/ML capabilities that align with enterprise standards. 

  • Translate complex business requirements into a technical blueprint defining workflow logic, decision points, data integrations, and exception handling. 
  • Address upstream and downstream impacts to ensure modular, reusable, and scalable solution components. 

-Design Authority & Documentation: Serve as the primary owner of the design lifecycle, creating high-fidelity documentation (e.g., technical specifications, process maps, user guides) to serve as the foundation for build and maintenance. 

-Lifecycle & Project Governance: Support development through the build phase and collaborate with project management to ensure the timely delivery of automation milestones. 

-Quality & Operational Readiness: Oversee testing to ensure the solution behaves according to the approved blueprint. 

-Performance Stewardship: Support go-live and production troubleshooting. Monitor automation effectiveness and business impact. Act as a long-term steward for solution enhancements and process improvements. 

Qualifications

-2+ years of experience in Revenue Cycle Management or healthcare-related industries, demonstrating a deep functional understanding of front, middle, and/or backend RCM workflows. 

-3+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable automation solutions using industry-leading platforms and products. Must demonstrate the ability to move beyond basic task automation to complex, multi-system integration. 

-Proficiency in process mapping and diagramming with experience in applications like Visio, Lucid, Canva, GitMind, etc. 

Experience

Required experience:  

  • Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise-grade solutions using industry-leading platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or equivalent automation ecosystems/products. 
  • Experience leveraging direct APIs and native EHR connectivity alongside RPA to navigate complex healthcare technology ecosystems 
  • Experience defining and configuring automation environments, including enterprise orchestration, secure credential management, and scalable robot/agent deployment models across cloud or hybrid infrastructures. 
  • Familiarity with common revenue cycle EDI transactions, such as 835, 277, etc.  
  • Experience in database structures, applications, and secure data transfer methods 

-Preferred experience:  

  • Familiarity with integrating Agentic AI solutions, LLMs, and Intelligent Document Processing into complex workflows. 
  • Using analytical tools such as SQL, Power BI, etc.  
  • Certification in one or more RPA Platform (e.g., UiPath Certified RPA Developer) 
  • Certification in Revenue Cycle or Health Information Management from an accredited body such as HFMA, AHIMA, or AAPC.
