Tessitura is a nonprofit technology company for arts and cultural organizations, dedicated to helping them thrive. We provide a unified CRM and commerce engine that brings together marketing, ticketing, fundraising, and customer data by enabling organizations to drive revenue, understand their audiences, and deliver more meaningful experiences.
Our platform powers 800+ organizations across ten countries, including world-renowned performing arts centers, museums, orchestras, and cultural institutions, as well as innovative and emerging organizations that are redefining how culture is experienced and accessed by their communities.
By equipping these organizations with better technology and insight, we help them expand their reach, strengthen relationships, and amplify the tremendous cultural and social value they deliver to their communities.
Job Summary:
Tessitura is in the middle of a growth transformation and how we look, feel, and show up in the market needs to match our ambition. This role exists because we’re ready to raise the bar on everything visual: our brand, our campaigns, our sales materials, our digital presence, and how we tell our story to the world.
The Senior Creative Designer is the person who makes that real. You’ll take complex products, ideas, and stories and turn them into visual work that’s clear, compelling, and impossible to ignore. Not safe. Not templated. Work that makes people stop, pay attention, and think differently about what Tessitura is.
This isn’t a ticket-taker role. You’ll shape creative direction, push the team’s thinking on what’s possible, and have real ownership over how Tessitura’s visual identity evolves. You’ll work across the full growth system - campaigns, product launches, sales enablement, events, executive communications - and you’ll be the person who makes all of it look and feel like it comes from a company that knows exactly who it is.
This is a hands-on role. You do the work designing, building, and iterating while also bringing a point of view on where we should go next.
Core responsibilities:
Elevate the Brand
- Support the visual evolution of Tessitura's brand - partnering with external identity and brand partners and bringing a strong creative voice to the development of a more cohesive, distinctive, and confident visual system.
- Evolve and maintain brand guidelines so they’re practical, usable, and consistently applied - not a PDF that sits in a folder
- Elevate how Tessitura shows up at every touchpoint - more distinctive, more consistent, and unmistakably us
- Build templates and reusable assets that increase speed without sacrificing quality so the whole team can execute at a higher level
- Turn complex ideas into simple, clear, and compelling visual stories that move people to act
- Lead creative execution across campaigns, product launches, and key growth initiatives
- Design high-impact assets across digital channels: email, social, landing pages, webinars, and events
- Elevate sales enablement materials (pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, infographics) so they’re clear, credible, and get used by the sales team
- Develop executive-level presentations that communicate ideas with clarity and confidence
- Create and edit motion and video content: short-form clips, presentation edits, basic animations, event content
- Collaborate with web and external UX partners to improve the quality and consistency of our digital experiences
- Bring ideas forward, not just execution. Challenge the team on what’s possible and push for work you’d be proud to put in your portfolio
- Set the creative bar high enough that people inside and outside the company notice the difference
- Contribute as a core member of the Growth team, helping elevate how we communicate and execute across every channel
- Take full ownership of your work from concept through final delivery
- Partner effectively across Marketing, Product Marketing, Sales, Partnerships, and Leadership
- Deliver high-quality work that balances craft with speed and business urgency
- Support company DEAI initiatives and contribute to an inclusive, respectful workplace
- Stay current with design trends, tools, and best practices and apply them thoughtfully
- Occasional travel required
- 6–10+ years of professional design experience, with a strong portfolio that proves you can do more than make things pretty, you make things work
- A book of work that shows range: campaign design, digital assets, presentations, sales materials, motion/video, and brand systems
- Experience supporting revenue-driving initiatives (campaigns, sales enablement, product launches) where your work had to perform, not just look good
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Working knowledge of motion/video tools (After Effects, Premiere, CapCut, or similar)
- Experience designing for web with an understanding of UX/UI fundamentals
- Active use of AI-assisted design and content tools - you're already using AI to accelerate ideation, production, and iteration, and you're constantly exploring how to push it further.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand consistency across a high volume of output
- The ability to balance creative ambition with business urgency you know when to push for great and when to ship
- Strong communication and collaboration skills you can present your work, defend your choices, and take feedback without ego
- B2B SaaS, nonprofit technology, or arts/culture industry experience
- Experience leading or contributing to a brand refresh or visual identity evolution
- Experience working in a growth or demand generation environment where creative is measured by results, not just aesthetics
